Five guys fighting was formed in December 2009 by 5 guys with a similar interest in mixed martial arts. From Boxing to Submission Wrestling (Brazilian Jiu Jitsu), the 5 guys have done it all. Their first show was in January 2010, and since then they have been pioneers in the upstate NY Area with these events. They were the first successful group to put a cage in an All Amateur Kickboxing event, fully sanctioned by the USMTA (United states muay thai association). They continually press the issue and invite big names to their events to help push for the legalization of MMA in NY. Currently they have over 1000 signatures on their petition to legalize MMA in NY.

Another big difference between 5 guys and other promotional companies is that several memebers of the organization actually fight. They know what each fighter goes through before they do battle because they have been in their shoes before.
